The Etherium Abstracts are some of Tariq’s earliest and most popular pieces. He has never been able to keep them in inventory for very long other than the ones retained for his personal collection.
Beginning as an exploration into paint as a medium, rather than relying on technical skills, technique, and training, the artist instead releases the detail, precision, and control so omnipresent in the rest of his work; using gesture, basic symbolism, and various aspects of the behavior of the material and support itself to express raw emotion.
